Date Nut Bread
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
- 3 tbs crisco
Mix together and cool. Then add
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 tsp soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Bake 1 hr at 350 degrees F.
