Bran Muffins (Elva)

- 1 1/4 scant cups sugar
- 1/2 cup crisco
Cream above ingredients.
Add 2 eggs and beat.
Sift 2 1/2 cup flour, 2 1/2 tsp soda, 1/2 tsp salt.

- 2 cups All bran
- 1 cup 40% bran 2 cakes
Pour over this 1 cup boiling water.
- 2 cup buttermilk
Mix (1) + (2) alternately.
Pour into muffin pans and bake 15 - 20 minutes at 400 degrees F
Makes about 30 muffins.
